Life is difficult. Each of us lives in an imperfect world, and as a result, we all experience pain and suffering. Knowing how to manage that pain is not simple, as it can affect us in both large and small ways, despite our efforts to cope or ignore it. Sometimes, the pain we face is inflicted by others: people hurt us, the demands placed on us seem overwhelming, societal and cultural pressures can have a negative influence, or we endure personal tragedies and traumas. Unfortunately, even faith communities can sometimes become sources of pain and trauma. At other times, the pain we endure is self-inflicted: we make decisions we regret, hurt those we love, or fail to live up to the standards we desire in certain areas of our lives. Pain often becomes a heavy burden we carry within us, manifesting as painful beliefs, unwanted emotions, and behavioral patterns, and even affecting our physical bodies. Through avenues such as Christian therapy, we can find pathways to healing and freedom. Despite the passage of time, pain and suffering can linger, often in ways that feel disconnected from their original source, leading to confusion and hopelessness. Embracing faith and spirituality can offer solace and guidance as we navigate these challenges.

No matter the source of our pain or how it manifests in our lives, I firmly believe that deep healing and freedom are real and possible. There is hope. I believe that we were each created by God and hold His image inside of us. His immense love for us drives His desire for wholeness in each of our lives. Time and time again, both in my professional and personal experiences, I have witnessed the miracle of life change. In John 10:10, Jesus declared, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." This promise can be a tangible reality, not just an elusive goal. My commitment lies in helping clients discover this abundant life that is available to us all through Christian therapy.
For those interested, I offer therapy that integrates Christian spirituality with sound psychology, tailored to your comfort level. I deeply appreciate and respect the unique spiritual journeys of each individual, including those who may prefer not to incorporate faith and spirituality into their therapeutic experience. Whether you identify as a committed Christian, follow a different faith, feel unsure about God, harbor anger towards Him, or are close to Him, I will work with you in ways that honor your needs as you seek growth and healing.
